HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal visited King Abdulaziz Foundation (Darah)
HRH Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah), received on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, HRH Prince Turki AlFaisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies (KFCRIS).
During the meeting, they discussed avenues of cooperation between Darah and the KFCRIS in ways that strengthen their shared scientific and national mission, support knowledge content, academic activities, and the development of work mechanisms. They also reviewed Darah’s strategy for the years 2025–2027, which includes objectives that reinforce its role in preserving the Kingdom’s history and heritage, enhancing user experience, and increasing access to historical assets, in addition to a set of goals that form the overall framework for Darah’s work in the coming phase.
The team presented an overview of the ongoing development initiatives, including updating the research and publishing plan, enhancing archival processes according to best practices, and improving user services to support researchers, in addition to the institutional transformation project aimed at strengthening operational capabilities and maximizing knowledge impact.
Prince Turki AlFaisal then toured the King Abdulaziz Memorial Hall and Al-Murabba Palace, where he was briefed on the components of the two sites and the development plans designed to align them with the latest museum standards, enhancing the cultural experience of visitors and highlighting the life of King Abdulaziz—may he rest in peace—and the national heritage preserved by Darah.
His Highness was also introduced to the services of the Beneficiary Services Building, where the center provides digital tools and platforms offering access to more than 700,000 historical items that support researchers and facilitate access to knowledge sources through an advanced search system.
At the conclusion of the visit, Prince Turki AlFaisal expressed his appreciation for Darah’s efforts in serving national history and supporting researchers, while Prince Faisal bin Salman thanked His Highness for his continued interest and contributions to highlighting Saudi history and strengthening its institutions.
